This unique cottage, of 16th century origin, retains many original features including rare oak mullion windows. It's on three floors and forms a completely self-contained and separate wing of the main farmhouse. 5 Star English Tourism Council Rating.

Entrance is through the original oak studded door with authentic inscription on one of the studs "RIP 1649", the year Charles I was beheaded.

The charming conservatory/dining room overlooks the garden and leads through the french windows into the spacious and comfortable sitting room. This was the original farmhouse kitchen and it has an impressive inglenook fireplace superb for cozy winter evenings!

The enclosed stone spiral stairs (not suitable for the infirm) lead to the first floor. The main bedroom is stunning and very large (19ft by 16ft) with high vaulted ceiling, old beams and king-sized four poster bed. It has its own adjoining bathroom with shower in the bath, toilet and hand basin. There is a second attractive bedroom on this floor with a double bed.

ConservatoryThe spiral stairs lead up past the Edwardian style bathroom containing a large Jacuzzi bath, to a further fully beamed bedroom on the second floor containing three single beds. This has an en-suite shower room with toilet, shower and hand basin.

The kitchen is fully equipped with electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washer dryer. There is a further toilet with hand basin on the ground floor. The cottage is centrally heated throughout, plus a gas fire in the conservatory. Outside there is a large exclusive garden, parking for several cars, and it is approached by its own drive from the road.
