Barn Owl Cottage at Higher Witheven Farm

Barn Owl Cottage is a lovely two bedroom cottage located on the outskirts of the North Cornwall village of Canworthy Water. This beautiful cottage has been tastefully renovated from a traditional farm building by a local architect and is surrounded by open countryside with alluring views over fields and woodlands. This charming cottage has an upside-down set up with the living area on the first floor to make the most of the fantastic views. The cottage has been tastefully decorated throughout and effortlessly combines rustic charm with modern elegance, think polished wooden floors meet original oak beams and vaulted ceilings.
The main living area contains two squishy sofas, one of which can be converted into a double sofa bed if needed. There is also a TV with DVD player and music system located in the open plan living area. In the centre of the stylish country kitchen is the pine dining table, ideal for family meals or playing board games. The kitchen units have all been hand-made by a local craftsman and house an array of appliances including, electric hob and oven, fridge freezer, washing machine/drier, dishwasher, microwave and a coffee maker. There is also a separate toilet and basin located on the first floor.
Downstairs are the two stunning bedrooms. The double room has a pretty metal frame bed and plenty of storage, as well as lovely views of the courtyard. It also has an en-suite bathroom with electric shower over the bath. The second bedroom has two full size single beds and an en-suite wet room with walk in shower.
Patio doors in the living room lead out to the garden. Wide paved steps lead down to a patio with teak dining furniture and charcoal BBQ. The rest of the garden is laid to lawn and is fully enclosed to allow children to play safely.
