More about Cree Cottage (the location)

Secluded and set in over 90 acres of glorious parkland in the grounds of Penninghame House and within a short walk from the banks of the River Cree the Cottages are an ideal base for exploring the surrounding area and it's attractions, or just relaxing. Cree Cottages are located just to the north of Newton Stewart in Dumfries and Galloway, southwest Scotland close by Galloway Forest Park.

Cree Cottage can sleep 6, and is of a very high standard.

Cree Cottage (the cottage)

Cree Cottage sleeping up to 6 has been completely modernised with one double and one twin bedroom on the first floor and one twin bedroom on the ground floor.

We provide all linen, towels etc for your stay at no extra charge. High chairs and cots can be supplied free of charge. Pets by arrangement, please contact us first.

There is an attractive living room with Sky TV, video and stereo. A well fitted kitchen / dining room with microwave, fridge, dishwasher and in the separate utility room there is a washer/dryer machine and an extra fridge/freezer. We have now installed a telephone in Cree Cottage (for incoming calls only).


Oil fired central heating is installed throughout and is free of charge, as is electricity.
The Garden Conservatory which is ideal for relaxing in, has stunning views over the surrounding countryside.
