More about Millgillhead Holiday Cottages (the location)

Recently used for the filming of ?Miss Potter?, a film about Beatrix Potter starring Renee Zellweger, Low Millgillhead offers three self catering Georgian houses within two acres of gardens in the small village of Lamplugh. The main house, Millgillhead, offers stylish accommodation for up to ten people. Croft House is a splendid barn conversion with accommodation for up to twelve people. Rose Cottage sleeps four. Each house has it's own garden and they all face different directions.

Lamplugh is the perfect starting place to explore the fells, rivers, lakes and tarns of this beautiful part of the Lake District. There are a variety of walks right from the front door, or Loweswater Lake is just four miles away, with Buttermere and Crummock just a mile or two beyond.

In the opposite direction is Ennerdale Lake with its forest walks and mountain biking.
