Horseshoe Cottage at Nordham

Horseshoe Cottage, one of the 3 properties part of ‘Nordham Cottages’, is an ideal, spacious cottage for 6/7 situated in the quiet hamlet of Nordham. We have a village shop/post office, playground, wetlands and bird sanctuary, all only a 5 minute walk away! There are 2 pubs within walking distance and plenty to see and do. Our cottages are ideally located for a varied holiday and well situated to discover the secrets of the Yorkshire Wolds: countryside location with coast, town or city is all easily within striking distance.
Enjoy the clean fresh air and the peaceful Wolds countryside famed by Hockney. Discover the nearby towns and cities such as Beverley, Hull and York and the East Yorkshire coastline- varied from white chalk cliffs to long sandy beaches stretching from Flamborough Head to Spurn Point.
Visit the dramatic chalk cliffs at Bempton with world renowned birdlife to see. Walk along the sandy beaches at Bridlington, Hornsea and beyond. After a good day out, return to a relaxing, well equipped home and if the weather is good, light the log barbeque and enjoy an evening outdoors. If you’d rather have a cosy night inside, put the heating on, light the fire and snuggle in with a film or make use of our games facilities.
Our adjacent cottage, Bay Tree sleeps 2 and has an interconnecting door so both cottages together are ideal for large parties.

• Veg basket left at door, when produce is available from Fawley House (National Garden Scheme garden).

Conditions
• Non-returnable reservation fee of £150 for Horseshoe Cottage,£50 for Bay Tree Cottage, or £200 for both. (Other cottage available for 6, or linked to sleep 8 between 7th and 20th September, and after 28th September).
• Balance is due 8 weeks before your holiday start date.
• For bookings made within 8 weeks of your holiday start date, the full amount is payable when you make your booking.
• Payment by cheque or PayPal.
• For bookings within one week of start date, cash payment only.

• Laundry facilities available and lockable storage for bikes etc.
• Horseshoe has an i-Pod docking station and radio.
• BBQ is log burning, with logs available.
• Character cottage which has kitchen, separate dining room with original, stripped pine cupboards either side of the fireplace housing games, videos and table tennis equipment.
• Cosy characterful sitting room, with gas fire- coal effect, in traditional iron grate with old pine surround.
• Child fire guard provided if necessary, along with high chair and stair gate.
