Damson Cottage is a delightful and comfortable 18th Century cottage in the historic village of Nether Stowey, in the foothills of the Quantocks (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty). The cottage offers cosy, fully-modernised, self-catering accommodation for up to 4 adults.

The poet Coleridge lived in the village and his former house (NT) is open to the public. The recently designated Coleridge Way starts from the village.

The cottage is an ideal base for exploring this beautiful area with its moorland, woods, wildlife and wonderful views. For cyclists, the Quantocks have many cycling trails.

Downstairs

-Entrance Lobby: with Coathooks
-Sitting-room: Beamed ceiling (1 low beam) and
Inglenook fireplace with woodburner, windowseat
overlooking Castle Street. Digital TV/DVD, radio/CD
player, maps, local information and walk suggestions.
-Dining Room: table seating 4 to 6, window
overlooking garden
-Kitchen: a typical cottage kitchen, well-equipped,
with beam and sloping roof and window overlooking
the garden, breakfast table and two chairs
-Rear Lobby: Coathooks and stable-door to garden
The door between the sitting room and the rear lobby
has a low lintel.

-Stairs: fairly steep
-Double bedroom: cupboard and chests
-Twin Bedroom: cupboard and chest
-Bathroom: bath, electric shower over bath, toilet and
basin, step up to bath
-Linen provided but NOT towels

Garden

-Sunny and sheltered, a very pleasant to sit in and
relax
-Safe for children and pets as enclosed by a fence
-Patio with table and 4 chairs. 2 sunloungers.
-3 steps up to an area of grass and shrubs with wooden
bench.
