More about Letter Box Cottage (the location)

Letter Box Cottage is a 18th century Grade II Listed, 2 bedroomed detached thatched cottage, located in the pretty hamlet of Hidcote Boyce, 3 miles from historic Chipping Campden and within walking distance of the National Trust gardens at Hidcote Bartrim and Kiftsgate Court gardens. 10 miles from Stratford-upon-Avon, Sudeley Castle and Warwick Castle are a short drive away. Eating out is well catered for ? Chipping Campden has wine bars, pubs and restaurants serving a wide variety of foods and local pubs nearby in Ebrington and Ilmington.

Letter Box Cottage was once part of the Ebrington Estate and this is denoted by the letter "E" on the entrance door. The other estate in the area is the Harrowby Estate and cottages belonging to the two estates can be found in Ebrington, Hidcote Boyce and Hidcote Bartrim. It is obvious from the house timbers that some elements of the structure date pre 1800, as they appear to be in their second use (possibly ships timbers
