More about The Chapel at Litton Cheney (the location)

Set in the sought-after village of Litton Cheney is the charming Non Conformist Chapel, attached to Chapel House, Litton Cheney which is the owners accommodation.

The traditional stone-built Methodist chapel has been very recently converted and is renovated to a very high standard of holiday accommodation.

Originally built in 1875, it was deconsecrated around 1912 and became disused, even doing duty as a wood-turner's workshop among other uses.

The current owner has converted it sensitively to retain as many of its original features as possible while making a comfortable and stylish house.

The sea is close by - close enough to be heard on quiet nights with beaches 3 and 5 miles away.

The nearest shop is 2 miles away with excellent farm shops 1 and 1.5 miles away, the village pub with an excellent menu is merely a 250m walk.

The Chapel (the cottage)

Whilst retaining character with a low beamed ceiling, the comfortable and tastefully decorated sitting - dining-room is very welcoming, with a multi-fuel stove housed in the inglenook fireplace and TV, DVD and stereo.

A fully fitted kitchen with an electric fan-assisted oven and grill, hob with extractor fan, refrigerator, microwave, washing machine/dryer, kettle, toaster and all the cooking utensils, pots, pans and cutlery you will need.

Stairs lead up to one double gallery bedroom with a high open ceiling with exposed trusses.

There are exposed beams and polished wooden floors throughout and 2 large arch topped windows.

The Chapel also has a private south facing garden with pergola, hardwood furniture and BBQ.
