More about Rosehaven Cottages (the location)

This is one of the prettiest areas of Cornwall, much of the coast is protected by the National Trust and still unspoilt. The peninsula is bound by the sea on one side and on the other by the Fal estuary. There are lovely coastal walks and many safe sandy beaches.

Things to do

You can enjoy watching the sailing from the picturesque village of St Mawes then take a stroll along the front and visit Henry VIII?s castle or take the ferry to Falmouth and visit the National Maritime Museum.

The Gardens

The Eden Project and Lost Garden?s of Heligan are within a half hour drive and a trip on the King Harry ferry takes you to Trelissick Gardens (NT) and on the city of Truro.

Penros (the cottage)

Penros is a new property and we have furnished it to a very high standard to provide our guests with a welcoming home. The sitting room enjoys the glorious view over the estuary and at the dinning end there are patio doors to the terrace.

The Bedrooms

There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The double-bedded room and the twin bedded room enjoy that lovely view. The third bedroom has a single bed with a foldaway bed underneath.

The kitchen

The kitchen and utility room are well equipped with modern units.

The Garden

There is a large terrace across the back of the house with table and chairs and the sunsets are stunning. Below is a small, enclosed garden.

The Shops

In the village you can buy milk, eggs and newspapers. St Mawes is a 5 minute drive. Here is a bank, Spar grocery, bakery, butcher, chemist, post office, pubs and restaurants. A scenic trip by car via the King Harry ferry takes you to Truro 10 miles away.

Parking

Off street parking for two cars.
