Foxes Lodge at Classy Cottages

Foxes Lodge is lovely for just 2 but there is plenty space for bigger parties - invite friends and family to share this luxury hide-away with you. It is spacious with 4 beds, en-suite bathrooms, and separate dining-room. Click left tabs for details. For twenty years, we had hoped that one day, we would be able to offer this idyllic garden cottage. It has a wonderful, sunny South facing aspect, no neighbours, total privacy and the sea just over the hill. Hide away here, worship the sun, relax and read a book. Sleeps from 2 - 8 people but out of season rental is for 2 people, with an additional charge for extra guests. Two woodburners and central heating.
The Cottage is very old with a wealth of features. The staircase is lit by a full height Cathedral type window. The timbers appear to have been variously salvaged from an old church and a mill.

The cottage looks over heavily wooded meadows of wild flowers, grazed by sheep and cattle. On that balmy evening, with the windows open, you will hear owls hooting; foxes and badgers will be calling. In the morning, there is nature’s chorus of wild bird song. Downstairs, is the fully equipped kitchen and the dining room with a large woodburner and a door onto the South facing terrace. There are 4 bedrooms, all can be double or twin. Downstairs, there is a master en-suite garden bedroom (6') situated on the South side of the house with French windows onto the terrace; a (5') bedroom with shared bath/showerroom. and a large twin bedroom.
Upstairs windows are South facing. There is a large drawing room with high vaulted roof and low level windows with views over the garden and down the valley. The other master en-suite bedroom (5'), has a wonderful private balcony/sun terrace and enjoy countryside views. The cottage has full central heating. There is also a coinphone and we are waiting for broadband. Meanwhile, we can arrange for dial-up.
