More about The Old Stables, Swerford (the location)

The Old Stables is a beautiful, luxury cottage with it's own private hot tub, tucked away on a small farm in rural West Oxfordshire.
The farm is home to lots of animals including alpacas, goats, donkeys, a pony, a few sheep, various ducks, geese and chickens plus our resident dogs and cat.The welcome committee when you arrive is usually the young goats who like to introduce themselves early in your stay!
The village of Swerford is located on the edge of the Cotswolds and is quiet and unspoilt with very little traffic. There are lots of lovely walks around the area, it's good for cycling and there is local horse-riding available nearby. If you enjoy sightseeing then both the city of Oxford and Stratford on Avon are close by with lots to see and do. There's also Blenheim Palace within a short drive and some lovely National Trust properties. Our nearest town is Chipping Norton, only a few minutes by car, where there are some good shops and restaurants and even a small theatre.

The Old Stables (the cottage)

The Old Stables has everything you need for a relaxing and luxurious break. Perfect for couples or those with a very young baby (NOT suitable for toddlers) Outside it has it's own enclosed garden with private hot tub, lots of garden furniture with cushions and a gas barbecue. There is private off road parking for one car.
Inside the cottage there is an open plan kitchen / lounge. The kitchen is very well equipped and includes a dishwasher. There is a separate utility / boot room with washing machine and tumble dryer. The lounge
has a Sony smart TV, a DVD player and CD player / Stereo and a digital radio. There is free WiFi available.
Although the whole cottage has underfloor heating there is a lovely woodburner in the lounge for those chilly winter days. The double bedroom is separate and has a very comfortable Hypnos bed and finally there is a full bathroom with a lovely deep bathtub and over head monsoon shower.
Please note there is no smoking allowed anywhere on the farm site which includes the cottage and garden. The nearest place you can smoke is on the road.
