Bruern Holiday Cottages have been national winner of the English Tourism Council's Excellence in England Gold and Silver Awards for Self-Catering Holidays.

Sandown cottage has pride of place in Bruern's courtyard, formerly the carriage house it benefits from huge, arched, picture windows and sleeps 4 in a double and twin bedroom both with en-suite. The cottage is elegant and comfortable with a huge open plan living, kitchen and dining area, log fire framed by a beautiful oak mantlepiece taken from Bruern abbey and four poster beds-making it exceptionally romantic. Like each of Bruern's cottages its interior has been professionally designed with extremely high quality fixtures and fittings, including a fully equipped shaker kitchen with all mod cons, cosy soft furnishings including Chesterfield velvet sofas and walls in soothing muted shades. Each of the rooms has been thoughtfully furnished to combine family friendly touches with a classic luxury. Amid the elegant interiors guests will find toys, games and TV with full SKY package including Disney channels etc. The master bedroom is found on the ground floor and is a romantic haven for frazzled parents with its mahogany four-poster double bed and large ensuite bathroom. The second bedroom is upstairs and has a pretty set of twin four poster beds with their own ensuite shower room. Down a flight of stairs outside is a large terrace with lovely views of the lawns. Rose covered trellises on each side and well planted flower beds help to add a sense of privacy when dining alfresco in the summer months. (Please note that Cheltenham apartment is set above Sandown.). This cottage has space for an extra cot or camp bed to be added upon request.

In the beautifully landscaped communal gardens and grounds, facilities include tennis, croquet, swimming, gym and the Stables Spa offering all sorts of treatments and pampering, including massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. Our spa has been featured on Tatler’s 101 Best Spas in the world.
There is also a special play area for children with a mini-playground, two-storey Wendy house and a heated play cabin with dressing up clothes, toys, art materials and fantastic retro pedal cars and tractors.

Bruern's central location makes it an excellent base for exploring The Cotswolds - Oxford is half an hour away, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Shakespeare National Theatre under an hour, and Cheltenham (racing and the annual Literary Festival) much the same. There are lovely wildlife walks in the neighbouring Nature Reserve at Foxholes and along the Oxfordshire Way, which runs through Bruern.

Bruern is also easy to get to by both train and car - Central London is just an hour and a half by either, and there are direct trains from there to Kingham station which is just 5 minutes drive away. It is also about the same distance from Birmingham and Bristol.
