Bruern Holiday Cottages have been national winner of the English Tourism Council's Excellence in England Gold and Silver Awards for Self-Catering Holidays.

Cope is beautifully presented one bed cottage perfect for a romantic getaway for two adults. Set in the converted mill house next to the three bed bookers cottages it has an impressive 30 ft by 15ft open plan library/dining and drawing room with high pitched roof and Gothic stone fireplace. Large, fully stacked bookcases frame the windows and the desk to the rear of the room whilst in the centre is a large round table perfect for a candle lit supper. The lounge area is focused around the fireplace with a comfy leather sofa, buttoned leather tub chairs and large mulberry foot stool. A jib door to the right of the fireplace leads to the east terrace, overlooking the river. The bedroom has gleaming, dark polished wood floors, a high pitched, beamed ceiling and four windows which make it lovely and bright. There is plenty of space for a cot. A door leads to a trellised terrace which is ideal for an evening drink surrounded by fragrant lavender, cistus, sage, thyme and roses. The en-suite bathroom has marbleized tiles, a marble topped vanity unit and power shower over the bath. The kitchen is flagged in cream Cotswold fossil stone with cream units and wooden work surfaces. It is very well equipped with a Britannia range cooker, six burners, two ovens, a US style fridge and freezer, two dishwashers, a washing machine/dryer and. For larger groups at Bruern Cope can be used as an extensive dining or party room with space for seating 25-30 guests- ideal for a family banquet. It also has space for an extra camp bed or cot.

In the beautifully landscaped communal gardens and grounds, facilities include tennis, croquet, swimming, gym and the Stables Spa offering all sorts of treatments and pampering, including massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. Our spa has been featured on Tatler’s 101 Best Spas in the world.
There is also a special play area for children with a mini-playground, two-storey Wendy house and a heated play cabin with dressing up clothes, toys, art materials and fantastic retro pedal cars and tractors.

Bruern's central location makes it an excellent base for exploring The Cotswolds - Oxford is half an hour away, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Shakespeare National Theatre under an hour, and Cheltenham (racing and the annual Literary Festival) much the same. There are lovely wildlife walks in the neighbouring Nature Reserve at Foxholes and along the Oxfordshire Way, which runs through Bruern.

Bruern is also easy to get to by both train and car - Central London is just an hour and a half by either, and there are direct trains from there to Kingham station which is just 5 minutes drive away. It is also about the same distance from Birmingham and Bristol.
