Cheltenham Cottage at Bruern Holiday Cottages

Bruern Holiday Cottages have been national winner of the English Tourism Council's Excellence in England Gold and Silver Awards for Self-Catering Holidays.

Cheltenham Holiday Cottage, has its private entrance - to the right of the central arches of the stables - and up a spiral staircase. The staircase walls are hung with quantities of blue-and-white china. At the top, you are greeted by a very large, warm and welcoming open-plan drawing-room/dining-room. This is flooded by the light from six windows looking out to wonderful views: on one side, across the walled garden, fields and woods to Stow in the blue distance; and on the other, over the stable courtyard and the parkland of Bruern Abbey. This accommodation has 1 double bedroom with four poster bed with a twin bedroom giving sleeping for 4 with ample room for a cot. The separate kitchen has a dishwasher and Fridge-freezer. There is also a Summerhouse and a Utility Room. This cottage has space for us to provide you with one extra cot or camp bed upon request.

In the beautifully landscaped communal gardens and grounds, facilities include tennis, croquet, swimming, gym and the Stables Spa offering all sorts of treatments and pampering, including massages, facials, manicures and pedicures. Our spa has been featured on Tatler’s 101 Best Spas in the world.
There is also a special play area for children with a mini-playground, two-storey Wendy house and a heated play cabin with dressing up clothes, toys, art materials and fantastic retro pedal cars and tractors.

Bruern's central location makes it an excellent base for exploring The Cotswolds - Oxford is half an hour away, Stratford-upon-Avon and the Shakespeare National Theatre under an hour, and Cheltenham (racing and the annual Literary Festival) much the same. There are lovely wildlife walks in the neighbouring Nature Reserve at Foxholes and along the Oxfordshire Way, which runs through Bruern.

Bruern is also easy to get to by both train and car - Central London is just an hour and a half by either, and there are direct trains from there to Kingham station which is just 5 minutes drive away. It is also about the same distance from Birmingham and Bristol.
