More about Connetts Farm (the location)

Connetts is situated in a rural, coastal position with views over farmland and the sea, one mile from the village of Eastchurch.
Connetts consists of our farmhouse, 13 acres of land and a selection of farm buildings converted into good quality self-contained accommodation. Our guests are welcome to wander around the premises and feed the hens.
A bar-b-que, situated in the courtyard garden, is available to everyone staying here and all guests have access to our grounds for picnics and relaxing.
Locally, the farm shop at Brambledown has a wonderful selection of fruit & vegetables, a bakery and butcher’s shop.
In the village of Eastchurch there are mini-supermarkets open very long hours every day and two pubs, one with a restaurant.
For eating out, the area known as Halfway Minster, around 3 miles from here, has some excellent restaurants and takeaways.
The KOH-I-NOOR restaurant and takeaway provides the finest Indian & Bangladeshi cuisine and we highly recommend them. They will also deliver to your cottage if required.
Mem’s Mezze is another excellent restaurant where they serve many gorgeous Turkish dishes in their stylish restaurant.
There is also a good Chinese takeaway in Minster village, Kwong Ming Take Away and for Fish & Chips, The Golden fish bar in Queenborough is our preference.
For more traditional British food, The Playa is recommended, situated overlooking the sea at Minster Lees.
All of these and many more are to be found within 5 miles of Connetts.
For larger supermarkets, other eateries and a fuel filling station, Neats Court retail park is also conveniently situated just 5 miles away.
The main town of Sheerness is where you will find banks, all types of retailers, cafes and businesses with a railway station, a traditional amusement park, fishing lakes, golf course and a Coastal Park at Barton’s Point

For visits to London (50 miles), Canterbury (30 miles), Rochester (20 Miles) & Maidstone (20 miles), there are good road links to the motorway system with a fixed link bridge linking us to the mainland. There is also a mainline railway from Sittingbourne (10 miles) to the centre of London with a connecting line from Sheerness.

There is a beach at Sheerness, & a Naturist beach at Shellness (5 miles).

For bird watching, you may wish to visit the R.S.P.B. reserve at nearby Elmley where many species of birds may be seen, both common and rare. Among those found on the reserve are populations of Harriers, Golden Plover, Short-Eared Owls, Avocet, Egret, Heron, Green Plover and at dawn and dusk spectacular amounts of wildfowl.
