More about Stalker's Cottage (the location)

Located on the western edge of the Scottish Highlands is Stalker's Cottage, a traditional estate workers house, which has been fully refurbished and transformed into a luxury four bedroom holiday home.

Stalker's Cottage situated in the 12,000 acre Glencarron Estate has been tastefully decorated throughout and comfortably furnished to make it the ideal home when staying in the Highlands.

Perfect for groups of friends or a family, Stalker's is in a great area for outdoor pursuits and sight seeing. Available on the estate are fishing, stalking and shooting, all of which can be arranged prior to your arrival. Walkers and Munro baggers will also admire the breath taking scenery and landscape, which includes 4 Munros over 3000ft.

Stag Lodge (the cottage)

Stag Lodge on the Glencarron Estate may look a little modest from the outside with is traditional stone façade and red panelling but step inside and you will see every room has been decorated and equipped to a very high standard.

The warm and cosy utility room is the ideal place to dry wet dogs and store muddy boots. Any damp clothes can also be washed and dried quickly with the help of a good washing machine and tumble dryer which are found in this handy room.

The well equipped kitchen/diner is ideal for all occasions. The lovely wood table can easily seat up to 8, but will feel just as nice if a couple is looking to enjoy a romantic meal. The kitchen has been to a high standard with good quality wood cabinets and dark work surfaces. Appliances include a fridge/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, twin oven and ceramic hob.

The bright and spacious living room is a wonderful place to sit back and relax no matter what the season. As the winter nights draw in warm up beside the open fire and enjoy a glass of wine. In the summer when the days are long admire the view from the comfort of one of the large leather sofas or watch TV. You can also take advantage of the WiFi, which is installed throughout the cottage.

The large Master Bedroom is located on the ground floor and benefits from beautiful views of the glen and garden. It can also take advantage of the downstairs bathroom fitted with a shower, which can be used exclusively as an en-suite or as a second family bathroom.

The three twin bedrooms are all located on the first floor and have plenty of space for storing holiday clothes. The main family bathroom with bath, loo and sink is also located on this floor, and is a great place to enjoy a long hot soak in the tub.

Outside, Stag Lodge has a quaint country garden where you can watch the local wildlife or enjoy the sunsets.
