Stables Bothy at Galloway House Estate

The Stables Bothy is a beautifully restored cottage within an 18 century courtyard on Galloway House Estate. It has an enclosed garden with lawn with garden table and chairs,a garden heater and barbeque, and a beautiful prductive vegetable garden for your use.

A safe external stair leads to the cottage and once inside it is all on one level. All the decoration is in Farrow and Ball colours. There is one double bedroom with a lit-bateau bed and exposed beams. There is a comfortable sitting room with a woodburning fire, plenty of books and a TV and DVD player. All linen and towels are provided as is fire wood.

It adjoins our larger Stables Cottage (sleeps 6): booking both is perfect for larger groups and extended families. Both have use of a huge trampoline with safety net within the courtyard. The area is perfect for cycling with a national cycle route,wonderful hill walks and coastal walks.Also close by tennis, golf, sea and fresh water fishing.

The bothy also has a wireless broadband internet connection for your use.

We are 10 minutes drive from Wigtown - Scotlands booktown with about 17 secondhand bookshops and an annual festival.
