More about Barclosh Farm (the location)

Our four cottages are on a small Galloway farm. The farm specialises in rare Belted Galloway cattle ('Belties') There is plenty of gentle walking and stunning views. Many species of birds, including owls and hawks, frequent the farm and Roe Deer are often spotted. The farm even boasts its own 14th century castle, although unfortunately very little now remains. Barclosh is only two miles from Dalbeattie, twelve miles from the thriving regional centre of Dumfries, five miles from Sandyhills beach and similar distances from Rockcliffe and the yachting centre of Kippford. It is, therefore, an excellent place as a base for your holiday.
