This is a region with dramatic scenery and incredible beauty.
The living room comes with a cosy log burning stove, Chesterfield couch and wingback armchairs and TV with Freeview and Netflix, local books and boardgames, Wi-Fi available free of charge.
The kitchen is well equipped with microwave, fridge, dishwasher, Senseo coffee machine, hob with oven and a lot of little extras like herbs & spices, coffee, tea, nice shortbread, dishwasher tablets and a complementary bottle of wine waiting for you.
On the same level are a king size bed room and twin with family bathroom. Perfectly suited for family members with restricted mobility.
Bathroom with walk-in shower, washbasin, WC, shaver socket with hair dryer, toiletries and fluffy towels provided.
Outside sitting area with seating in the landscaped garden for relaxing during the day or watch the night time sky.
There is a washing machine and dryer available for your use.
From the cottage there are lovely views over the field with a herd of Highland Cattle and deer for neighbours and views to the surrounding hills.
Barcaldine is a quiet rural location but only 12 miles north of the lively harbour town of Oban.
The lodge is the perfect nature retreat to enjoy stunning trails to go mountain biking or hiking with many walks to discover. We welcome up to 2 well behaved dogs, in fact your four legged friend will love the many trails on your doorstep.

Nearby is the popular town of Oban, from here you can sample the delights of the area including the islands of Mull, Staffa, Coll and Tiree as well as the wonderful Ardnamurchan Peninsula. Glencoe and Fort William and a trip on the famous Harry Potter train are within easy reach.
Several nice eateries such as the Creagan Inn, The Pierhouse at Port Appin, the Old Inn, Castle Stalker Cafe and Isle of Erika Hotel are in easy reach.
We dearly love Scotland with it's fantastic wild life & scenery and will be able to give our guests the insiders guide to special places to visit.
