Locka Old Hall Cottage is a comfortable and well-equipped stone-built holiday cottage. It is a perfect romantic retreat, a walkers' paradise and a relaxing home from home.

Locka Old Hall Cottage is located 1 mile from Arkholme in the beautiful Lune Valley, close to Kirkby Lonsdale. You will find it an ideal base for exploring the Lake District, the Yorkshire Dales and the north Lancashire coast. The area is superb for wildlife, there are footpaths within easy access, good cycling routes and facilities for a wide range of other outdoor sports.

Old Hall Cottage (the cottage)

-The main living area is a light and airy open-plan
room, designed for reading, watching TV and relaxing
in front of the open fire.
-There is a comfortable double sofa bed, easy chairs,
TV/DVD/video and dining table.
-The well-designed modern kitchen has recently been
re-fitted to a high standard, with ceramic hob and
electric oven, washer/drier, dishwasher, microwave,
fridge (including a small freezer compartment) and
wonderful views from the kitchen sink!
-You will find a wide range of books of walks and
laminated 1:25000 OS maps covering the local area,
as well as lots of interesting ideas for days out. There
is also a small library of books, videos and DVDs for
you to enjoy during your stay.
-We don't believe in hidden extras, and so we include
in our price wood and coal for the open fire,
electricity, bed linen (duvets/blankets), towels and
your holidaying dogs.
-The cosy bedroom has a king-size sleigh bed.
-The shower room also has a toilet, basin and heated
towel rail.
-There is a lobby where coats, wellies, walking boots
and dog beds can easily be housed.
-Locka Old Hall Cottage is strictly non-smoking.
-There is off-road parking for two cars.
-The garden is private, with lawns, a decking area and
garden furniture.
-Well-behaved dogs are welcome.
