Clayton Cottage sits on the edge of the Cheviot Hills in North Northumberland with fantastic unspoilt views right from the front door. We welcome families with children of any age and have tried to ensure you will have everything you need for your self catering cottage holiday in picturesque Northumberland.

Situated in the tiny quiet village of Howtel, near Ford and Etal, this cottage is an ideal self catering holiday base for resting or touring in Northumberland. There's beautiful countryside all around for local walking, cycling or fishing...and you are less than 30 minutes from many of Northumberland's beauty spots such as Bamburgh Castle with its wide golden beach or Lindisfarne Castle on Holy Island.

Clayton Cottage (the cottage)

Our holiday cottage sleeps up to 5 people, with three upstairs bedrooms, comprising: 1 double, 1 twin and 1 small single room. All bed linen is provided. The cottage has a good sized lounge with comfortable furniture, a real fire with all logs and coal included, digital Sky TV, DVD, CD player and telephone with honesty box.

Fully equipped kitchen with hob, oven, grill, microwave, toaster, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer. Separate dining room with table and seating for 5, plus easy chairs. Fully modernised bathroom on ground floor with WC, bath and shower over. Electric heating throughout - all included. Just let us know if you need a cot or high chair.

The rear garden is safe, private and enclosed and easy parking is available right outside the front or rear. There's a BBQ for your use in the back garden and a lockable shed in case you need to store bikes etc. We have ensured that there are maps, brochures and leaflets of the area at the cottage and information to help you plan your self catering holiday in North Northumberland.
