More about Binks Cottage (the location)

The cottage is set on a picturesque green in Thornley Village, on a sheep and cattle farm, situated on the eastern edge of the Northern Pennines, in an area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

We are ideally located for walking, pony trekking, fishing and golf. Beamish Museum, Kilhope Lead Mine, High Force, Durham City and Raby Castle are less than half an hours drive away offering an insight into the history of Northumbria. Within easy reach are the lovely market towns of Barnard Castle and Hexham and the beautiful coastline of Northumbria, the Lake District, Keilder Water and the Yorkshire Dales.

* 2 bedrooms sleeping 4 people plus a cot - 1 double
bedroom and 1 twin bedroom
* 1 bathroom with a shower
* Living Room - well furnished with colour TV, video,
CD player, radio cassette player and oil fired stove
set in an inglenook fireplace.
* Kitchen - with electric cooker, microwave,
dishwasher, fridge/freezer, coffee maker and bread
maker. A picnic cool box with ice packs is available
for guests to use.
* Dining area - seating 6 people.
* Utility/Storage room - offering washing and drying
facilities, storage for bikes and tack.
* Outside - garden at the front with bar-b-que and
garden furniture; ample parking
