Woodpecker Cottage is a cosy rural retreat situated on the outskirts of the picturesque village of Dale Abbey, famous for its unique semi-detached church and medieval abbey ruins.

The cottage retains many original features including beams and a working bread-oven, whilst offering modern comforts such as a dishwasher and full gas central heating.

Woodpecker Cottage is an ideal base to visit the many places of interest in the area and for touring. There are a variety of walks straight from the cottage door and a pleasant county pub serving meals in the village. Grocery shopping is a short 5-10 minute drive.

On entering the double gates there is ample off-road parking leading to a private lawned garden with flowers and a patio area.

Recently modernised to a very high standard in keeping with the character of the cottage, the rooms have a light airy feel with panoramic views from all windows. The rear stable door gives access via the hallway to the bathroom, which has a modern white 3 piece suite with electric shower.

The well-equipped kitchen with dishwasher, leads to the beamed dining room which features an original bread-oven and wooden floor.

The beamed lounge has a wooden floor and a wood-burning stove. The double sofa-bed allows for up to two additional guests.

Upstairs are two bedrooms, one double (with room for cot if required) and one twin-bedded.
