The Coach House at Gateham Grange Holiday Cottages

The Coach House is inspected yearly under the VisitBritain National Quality Assessment Scheme and has achieved a 4 STAR rating. This award carries a guarantee of high standards and attention to detail.

This lovely barn conversion is situated next to the quaint old stone dovecote (dated 1789) and enjoys glorious views of Wetton Hill.

Sleeping 4/6 persons, it is double glazed and has great character offering the perfect setting to enjoy the delights of both Derbyshire and Staffordshire.

We welcome children and have a cot and high chair available on request.

The Coach House has a spacious kitchen/diner with a well equipped pine fitted kitchen, including electric cooker, fridge with freezer box, coffee maker, radio, microwave, washing machine and tumble drier etc.

This cottage has the benefit of a downstairs toilet, with wash basin and heated towel rail (as well as an upstairs toilet).

The comfortable lounge has large patio windows enabling guests to experience a real feel of farming life.

There is adequate seating for up to 6 guests, a remote control colour TV, video recorder, free-standing electric fire and a selection of books and games.

The upstairs bathroom includes toilet, wash basin and bath with shower over, also two heated towel rails, wall heater and immersion heater.

The pretty double bedroom enjoys picturesque views. It has a vanity unit, heated towel rail, radio alarm and is furnished in pine with co-ordinating duvet cover and curtains.

The spacious family room has a double bed and adult size bunk beds (more suitable for children and young people). There is room in either bedroom for a cot if required. It has antique furnishings and co-ordinating duvets covers and curtains

The Coach House is heated by night storage heaters included in the price. Other electricity for cooking, lighting and hot water and extra heating (if required) is by a ?1 pre-payment meter. The price includes bed linen (weekly lets only), toilet rolls, soap and cleaning necessities. Towels are not included in the price but are available for hire upon request if required.

The Garden

There is a small garden with lovely views at the rear of The Coach House with garden furniture.
There is also a large patio for sitting out next to our farmhouse. Guests are most welcome to relax and enjoy this facility and if wished take the opportunity to socialise with guests from Gateham Cottage, or indeed ourselves on the rare occasions we seem to have the time to use it!
