More about Clevency Cottages (the location)

If you're looking for a self catering holiday cottage in Norfolk we offer a choice of three traditionally built, brick and flint holiday cottages, tastefully decorated, full of character and charm - real home from homes.

Our accommodation consists of different sized holiday cottages in the charming village of Great Snoring.

Great Snoring is just 6 miles from the fabulous North Norfolk coast. The surrounding area offers a huge choice of what to do, places to visit and things to see, many local attractions are all within easy reach. If you're looking for a family holiday, a quiet weekend or a relaxing week away, where better to stay!

North Norfolk has lots of beautiful sandy beaches, unspoilt and vast with skies to match, Wells, Holkham and Brancaster are amongst the best. There are plenty of nature and wildlife reserves with the RSPB at Titchwell and Snettisham, the Pensthorpe Wildfowl Centre, (home to BBC2 Spring Watch) and the salt marshes at Cley and Stiffkey. Blakeney and Wells-next-the-Sea are two lovely small fishing ports offering Seal trips over to Blakeney Point or quayside fishing for crabs. The larger seaside resorts of Sheringham and Cromer are just a few miles further along the coast.

Exploring this area you will come across some pretty Norfolk villages. The fashionable Burnham Market with it?s trendy shops and eateries is just 8 miles away and the ancient village of Little Walsingham with it's famous shrine of 'Our Lady' is the next village on from Great Snoring, just 2 miles away. The bustling Georgian town of Holt with interesting shops and restaurants is 12 miles away and the market town of Fakenham offers local shops, pubs, a bowling alley, golf course, cinema and even a Racecourse, just 4 miles away.

The coastal villages of Stiffkey, Blakeney, Morston and Cley offer a selection of wonderful pubs, restaurants, charming shops and Deli?s selling local 'Cromer Crab', smoked fish and fresh mussels.

Tourist attractions nearby are plentiful; The Thursford Steam Museum, Holkham Hall, numerous National Trust Houses, Royal Sandringham, various Steam Railways, the Gressenhall Rural Life Museum, Bircham Windmill, the sprawling Lavender fields at Heacham, Langham Glass, the Dinosaur Park, the Norfolk Shirehorse Centre, many art galleries and plenty of Golf Courses. A perfect area too for walking, birdwatching and cycling.
